“What Time is Purple?” Giveaway at Old Dominion University. February 27th, 2019 EDITED

Philemon 6 “And I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective for the full knowledge of every goof thing that is in us for the sake of Christ.”

As a preface, this post will be relatively short. I did not actually share the gospel with anyone face-to-face this day—it was our goal to simply distribute literature– but I wanted to write about this day as an encouragement for those who pass out tracts or gospel booklets. For those of you who don’t know, Wretched Radio is giving away their “What Time is Purple?” tracts for free! It is a gospel booklet that I would describe as apologetic-based– it is geared towards the skeptic. A good friend of mine, Galal, and his wife ordered 1000 with the promise to distribute them.

On this particular day we were able to give out 900 of them at Old Dominion University, a college with over 20,000 students! I am incredibly thankful to have been a part of that, and I am praying that the Lord would save people through this gospel literature. I have never distributed literature on a college campus, despite being a college student myself! I am hoping for more opportunities soon.

Galal, Sean, and I went out to the university campus at 10am that day, and stayed around two hours. It was cold and rainy, but college students still have to go to class! We stationed ourselves on different sides of the same street and just passed them out to whoever we saw– students, teachers, other people, etc. I think the whole time, I only had four or five people say “no” when I told them it was a gospel tract. I know that some of the people who took one probably won’t read it, but I am very encouraged by the amount of people who did. I even gave some to people that I knew from high school, which was especially awesome. I am pretty sure one girl went to my youth group a couple of times.

Please pray for these people who received the “What Time is Purple” booklets. Pray that God would save them, and that they would deeply consider all of the things that they read. Pray that they find good churches if the Lord does save them. Pray for my heart and that I would remember the gospel each day and that I would be changed by reading the Word. Pray that I would love the lost more than I fear their reactions. Thank you.

UPDATE 03/06/2019 Galal texted me today to say that he met someone at the bus station who received one of the What Time is Purple booklets. He also said he read it! PRAISE GOD!

As a bonus, here is a picture that Sean took! He took it to send to Todd Friel, but I asked him if I could share it here too.
